About Sophia's Place

 The founder's of Sophia's place had serious concerns about what would happen to their disabled daughter Sophia. After they pass on. During their research they discovered that disabled adults were 10 x more likely to suffer abuse and no quality of life. Disabled Adults are neglected and isolated Without anyone to help them. We could go on but you get the picture. Disabled veterans are treated worse. They decided to create a safe haven for disabled adults and military veterans. They also decided to do what consecutive governments have not. Invest in a safe haven for disabled adults and military veterans. By putting every penny of profit from their business  Tiny Homes USA towards Sophia's place. With help from friends and some military agency's Sophia's place is becoming a reality. With your help we will open the first Sophia's place in 2026.

With every home sold, we are working toward a greater purpose—using almost all of our proceeds to establish and organize a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting disabled adults and military veterans. Too often, individuals with disabilities face a future of uncertainty after their parents or guardians pass away, leading to instability, neglect, and a lack of proper care. Our goal is to change that reality by developing accessible, supportive housing solutions that ensure they have a safe and dignified place to call home.

Through our nonprofit initiative, The Tiny Homes USA  Funded Sophia Foundation for Disabled Adults and Military Veterans, we are committed to funding and developing communities where these individuals can thrive with the care, resources, and independence they deserve. The abuse and neglect of adults with disabilities in institutional care settings are not just isolated incidents—they are widespread, systemic failures that have devastating consequences for some of the most vulnerable members of our society.

Studies reveal that individuals with disabilities are four to ten times more likely to experience abuse than those without disabilities. Even more alarming, within nursing homes and long-term care facilities, 64.2% of staff members admitted to committing some form of abuse in the past year. This mistreatment—whether physical, emotional, or financial—often goes unreported due to victims' fear, communication barriers, or lack of resources to seek help.

Throughout history, we have seen devastating examples of neglect and mistreatment in institutional settings:

• The Winterbourne View Scandal (UK) – A private hospital was exposed for the systematic physical and psychological abuse of patients with learning disabilities. The horrific conditions led to public outrage, legal actions, and reforms in care regulations.
• The Willowbrook State School (US) – Once a beacon of hope for children and adults with disabilities, Willowbrook instead became infamous for its inhumane treatment, overcrowding, and neglect. Investigations uncovered horrifying conditions, ultimately leading to widespread advocacy efforts and policy changes.
